Separately

• Four avocados
• One large tomato
• One small onion
• One lime
• Salt
• Black pepper
• Cilantro (optional)

Together

1. Remove flesh from avocados, add to bowl, smash into a paste-like consistency
2. Finely chop tomato, add to bowl.
3. Mince onion, add to bowl.
4. Cilantro, a controversial ingredient, may be minced and added at this time.
5. Slice the lime in half. Squeeze the juice of one half lime into the bowl.
6. Mix all ingredients, adding salt and pepper to taste. Three pinches of each is a good start.
