Required
- At least one potato.
- Butter (one pound per ten pounds of potato)
- Sour cream (two cups per ten pounds of potato)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Parmesan cheese, optionally (to taste)
Recommended
- Cut the potato up into several pieces. This is optional.
- Remove the potato's skin if you are a heathen.
- Boil the potato until it is soft. Drain the water when you're done.
- Add butter and sour cream and and salt and pepper and, optionally, cheese to the now-boiled potato. Mash.
- Mashed.
