Fry 'Em

  1. Cube the potatoes and parboil: place in pot with enough well-salted water to cover the cubed potatoes; add dash of salt and bring to a rolling boil. Boil for 2-3 minutes once bulk boiling has been achieved, then remove and drain.
  2. If cooking with baconYou should do this. begin frying bacon over medium heat in a cast iron skillet when water arrives at a boil. Reserve bacon grease in skillet.
  3. With skillet on medium-high heat, add cooking fat if needed.Either because you didn't use bacon, or you didn't use enough Add potatoes, salt, pepper, and paprika. Stir to coat potatoes with bacon grease and spices.
  4. Cook potatoes in pan for 7-10 minutes. When they look done, they are done.
  5. Eat. If in United States of America, serve with ketchup. If in Canada, serve with cheese curds and gravy.
