List of Ingredients
- One head of cabbage, red or green, chopped
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp caraway seeds
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 3 tsp white vinegar
- Cooking fat of your choice
Optionally: mustard of your choice.
List of Instructions
- Heat a dutch oven or large saute pan over medium flame, add cooking fat
- Add cabbage, spices, and vinegar, stir, reduce to low flame, cover.
- Stir occasionally for 60-90 minutes, until cabbage is soft and translucent.
- Serve hot or cold with optional mustard.
